Pecan Praline Syrup
I’m going to say something controversial. I like waffles more than pancakes. I’m going to say something even more controversial. I like both more than french toast. Don’t get me wrong, if it were up to me, I’d be enjoying all three at once, but I generally limit myself to one. Whether you’re on team pancakes or french toast, there is one thing that unites us all: syrup.
Personally, I stick with maple agave syrup. But I’ve never had a syrup I don’t like. Here at Maya Tea we like to think outside the box, so we decided to reinvent syrup. We started with our Pecan Praline Black tea. This black tea blend has a deep flavor with a hint of maltiness. We do have to warn you, there is some caffeine in the tea, so your syrup may give you some extra energy.
So if you want to take your breakfast food to the next level, here’s how you do it:
Pecan Praline Syrup
You need:
- 2 tablespoons of Pecan Praline Tea
- 1 cup of boiled water
- 1 cup of sugar
How to make it:
- Steep the tea in the water for 6 min, then strain the leaves
- Add tea concentrate and sugar to a pot and let it simmer for 15 minutes, do not reach boiling
- Pour into a heat safe container and store at room temperature
- Do not stir or mix the syrup at any point in the cooking process
- This should be used up in a week
