Matcha Madness
Like most tea lovers out there, we drink tea as a clean energy alternative to coffee. What about matcha? For some, the earthy grass-like flavor in matcha can be overwhelming, but not to worry! Luckily, there are plenty of options out there that can turn matcha into a delightful drink that anyone can learn to appreciate. This magical powder is packed with antioxidants and caffeine that has a slow burn with no crash, unlike its ground bean counterpart. Not sure where to start? Below are a few tasty recipes to get you going.
Matcha Latte
You need:
- 3/4 of a teaspoon of Matcha (or 2 ¾ tsp of Sweetened Matcha)
- 1 oz of near boiling water (180-195 degrees Fahrenheit)
- 6 oz of your favorite milk
- 1-2 tbsp of honey
How to make it:
- Heat and froth 6 oz of your milk of choice
- Add Matcha and honey to 1oz of hot water and whisk or froth for 1 min
- Combine Matcha shot and frothed milk
- Transfer your latte to your serving glass and enjoy!

Matcha Lemonade
You need:
- 3/4 of a teaspoon of Matcha
- 1 oz of near boiling water (180-195 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Your favorite lemonade
- Ice
How to make it:
- Add Matcha to 1oz of hot water and froth for 1-2 min
- Fill a 16 oz glass with ice
- Add lemonade to glass with enough room for 1 oz of liquid

Top off your lemonade with the shot of Matcha and enjoy the cascading green show! Stir to thoroughly incorporate before drinking.
Matcha Soda
You need:
- 3/4 of a teaspoon of Matcha (or 2 ¾ tsp of Sweetened Matcha)
- 1-2 tbsp of Sugar (depending on your sweetness preference)
- 1 oz of near boiling water (180-195 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Sparkling Water
- Ice
How to make it:
- Add 3/4 of a teaspoon of Matcha and 1-2 tbsp of sugar (or 2 ¾ tsp of Sweetened Matcha) to 1oz of hot water
- Froth for 1-2 min
- Fill a 16 oz glass with ice
- Add sparkling water to glass with enough room for 2 oz of liquid
- Top off your glass with the shot of Matcha. Stir and serve!
